The Romax Technology Centre in Nottingham, UK has been shortlisted for the Excellence in Design Award in The Bricks 2015, East Midland’s Business Link’s new commercial property awards.
The Bricks, taking place in Derby on 4 June, aims to honour the East Midlands commercial property sector, including offices, industrial and residential projects, through to community initiatives such as leisure schemes and schools.
Romax last year opened its new £5.6 million head-office at the University of Nottingham’s Innovation Park. The 3100m2 facility includes offices, a training suite and laboratory space and also gives Romax space to grow in the future, creating more jobs and growth for the region. In addition to this, Romax’s continued desire to promote green energy across its portfolio saw this reflected in the new building.
The building incorporates environmentally friendly building technologies such as sustainable construction techniques including biomass heating, building heat recovery and reuse, waste water recycling, solar shading and a biodiverse green roof.
